An alternative to a HEPA filter
Meaco Arete carbon filter. The Meaco Arete® One can be used with a standard H13 HEPA filter or this activated carbon filter. Which filter you should use largely depends on how well you want to purify the air, and what you want to remove from the air. The HEPA filter is effective for people suffering from pollen, allergies, and pets. Customers who want to remove odors and VOC gases (chemicals) should consider this activated carbon filter.
Better air quality in your home
The activated carbon filter provides improved air purification properties, removing both VOC gases (chemicals) and odors from your home. The activated carbon filter is used in addition to the dust filter that comes standard with the dehumidifier, giving you two stages of filtration. This type of filter is ideal for reducing unwanted odors from your home, which may originate from the kitchen, cigarette smoke, and fireplace, for example. This filter will naturally increase the noise level and reduce the capacity of the dehumidifier to some extent, but in return provides cleaner and better air.
What are VOCs and why should I remove them?
VOC gases include a variety of chemicals, organic and man-made gases, found in common household items. This includes cleaning products, paints, varnishes, and pesticides; as well as office equipment such as photocopiers and printers, and adhesives. Breathing in VOC gases can cause unwanted health problems such as headaches, nausea, and irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat. The activated carbon filter will help reduce these from the air to provide you with a more pleasant and healthier home or office environment.
Meaco Arete® One is among the best products on the market with air purification capabilities, including the removal of VOC gases and odors. With the Arete® One, the dehumidifier can be run in a dedicated air purification mode when you don't need to dry the air. When the need for dehumidification is not present, the machine can work to ensure safe and good air.
What you get
The Meaco Arete® One comes with a free H13 HEPA filter so you can see how effective it is. If you want clean and fresh air in your home, we recommend changing the filter approximately every three months. You have the choice of replacing this filter with this activated carbon filter, or continuing to use the machine with the H13 HEPA filter. Here you can buy a pack of 3 activated carbon replacement filters for your Meaco Arete® One 20L or 25L. Alternatively, you can take a look at H13 HEPA filters if these meet your needs better. If you can't decide, you can use both types of filters and switch them back and forth whenever you want and when the need arises.
