Conventional dehumidifiers use a compressor to dry the air. This works well at normal indoor temperatures but poorly when it gets cold (below 15 degrees). The Arida S9L uses a desiccant rotor, making it effective at all temperatures, right down to zero degrees.

Air ionization - against basement and boat odors

Ionization is smart for two reasons:

1. Where there is dampness, odors often occur. This can be basement odor, boat odor, or mold smell. When you get a dehumidifier, much of this odor will disappear. If you turn on ionization, the odor will be removed much more effectively.
2. When negative ions are released into the air, tiny dust particles will bind together into larger particles. These larger particles will then become heavy and fall, or be caught in the air filter. It is the small particles that are dangerous for your lungs, and ionization helps reduce the amount of small particles (Particulate matter).

Drain hose

If you use the dehumidifier in a place you don't visit often, such as a basement or a boat, you can connect a hose. This allows you to direct the water to a drain, eliminating the need to empty the water tank every day. A hose is included in the box, and if you want a more flexible hose, you should purchase this hose.

Hygrostat - never too dry

It is important to keep things dry, but it is also important that it doesn't get too dry. Therefore, the Arida S9 has a hygrostat, so you can set your desired dryness level. The dehumidifier then ensures a consistent and stable humidity. (A hygrostat controls the dehumidifier in the same way a thermostat controls a heater.) The Arida S9L comes standard with a HEPA filter.

This purifies your air, making the S9L a hybrid air purifier and dehumidifier. This will protect your health, and it will also protect your dehumidifier from building up internal dust. This will extend the lifespan of the dehumidifier. The filter can be vacuumed, but eventually needs to be replaced. The Arida S9L can also be used without a HEPA filter, but we recommend using it with this filter. You won't find many dehumidifiers with a desiccant rotor, HEPA filter, and ionization in the same device!

What's included in the package?

When you buy an Arida S9L, you get one hose for continuous water drainage, one HEPA filter, and one carbon filter.

What happens if the power goes out?

If you use the dehumidifier in a cabin, boat, or basement where you aren't often, it can be useful to know what happens if the power goes out. The dehumidifier will, of course, stop. When power returns, the dehumidifier will automatically restart with the same settings as before the power outage. Not all dehumidifiers restart automatically after a power cut, so this is important if you use it in a place you don't visit every day.

Can be wall-mounted and connected to a pump

If you want minimal supervision, the Arida S9L can be mounted on the wall with a wall bracket (accessory) and a pump can be installed in the water tank. This eliminates the need to empty the water tank.

In addition, the dehumidifier will draw in less dust from the ground, which extends the life of both the machine and the air filter.
