What is the HygroSmart® function?

Many humidifiers have a hygrostat. With a hygrostat, you can set your desired humidity, and the humidifier will turn on and off to try and maintain that humidity. HygroSmart® is a simpler way to do this. By activating the HygroSmart® function, the humidifier will regulate the humidity to the correct level itself, regardless of what you have set on the hygrostat. The humidifier will normally maintain humidity between 48% and 53% relative humidity. You can also regulate the humidity yourself to this level with the hygrostat, but by activating HygroSmart® it is simpler.

The air&me Gota is compact and discreet, making it perfect for any room. You can place it anywhere in your house, but we recommend placing it slightly elevated in the room, so that the humidity has the opportunity to be absorbed into the air before the tiny droplets fall to the floor. Gota ensures a healthy supply of humidity, without odor and bacteria.

Why add humidity to your home?

When the temperature drops, you turn on the heat, which then reduces the indoor relative humidity. The temperature difference dries out indoor air. The relative humidity can drop as low as 20 to 30%, while the optimal humidity range is 45-55%.

Breathing in air that is too dry can lead to health problems, or existing problems can become more difficult to manage. You may experience problems with asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis, and nosebleeds, or general dehydration as body fluids are depleted during respiration. The most common symptoms are dry eyes, eczema, itching, dry nasal passages, chapped lips, and nosebleeds due to dry air. Low humidity can also cause cracks in parquet flooring, moldings, and wooden furniture.

What is the best solution?
If your indoor air is too dry, a humidifier will be able to increase the humidity in the air. At the same time, one must be careful not to add too much humidity. That is why Gota is equipped with HygroSmart, so that the humidifier works to keep the humidity between 48% and 53%.

What is an ultrasonic humidifier?
An ultrasonic humidifier adds moisture to the air by breaking down water molecules using ultrasound. A small metal plate vibrates so rapidly that tiny water droplets are detached from the water surface and blown into the air. You can see the water coming out as steam from the humidifier.

Legionella	Humidifiers that create water mist without temperature increase should be cleaned often, preferably once a week. Disinfect with chlorine and rinse thoroughly. Always empty and clean the container when not in use.
